BYD Seal

BYD's marine aesthetic design concept is incorporated into the exterior design of the BYD Seal model. By using the overall closed front face to show the logo of a pure electric model, the low-lying and flat design of the front creates a very personalized label and also enhances the sporty atmosphere. The hood of the vehicle is decorated with two extremely powerful lines, paired with sharp headlights on both sides. The fog lamp position under the front face adopts an irregular design, and the double arc-shaped decorative panel of the air intake is arranged horizontally inside, which visually stretches the width. Through the front face design, we can see that the design on the body seems to bring more technological and fashionable elements into the overall design.

On the side of the car body, the most eye-catching design is the fastback style design. The posture of the vehicle presents a design with a low front and high rear, giving it a fighting stance and a strong sense of movement. A curved waistline decorates the body in the middle of the vehicle, which plays a role in stretching the overall length of the vehicle. At the same time, a very popular hidden door handle is used on the side of the vehicle, which is also to better enhance the sense of technology.

The overall design of the rear part of the car is mainly simple and elegant. The round and penetrating rear taillights are very recognizable when lit. The design of the diversion trough below that surrounds both sides is exaggerated and has a strong sense of combat. Paired with the large-area black fenders and exaggerated diffuser components at the bottom of the car, the sporty attributes of the BYD Seal are very obvious when viewed from the rear of the car.

BYD Seal is positioned as a medium-sized car. Its body length, width and height are 4800*1875*1460mm, and the wheelbase is 2920mm. It is worth mentioning that the wheelbase of nearly 3 meters also makes BYD Seal's interior space very spacious. As an experiencer with a height of 175cm, we sat in the front row. There was room for a fist and three fingers in the head. If we kept the front seat still, we entered the back row and had nearly two fists of room for our legs, and there was still room for a fist and four fingers for our head.

The interior design of BYD Dolphin uses relatively many elements. First of all, the overall layout is mainly simple and elegant. The white interior color and large areas of black painted panels and brushed metal panels form a sharp contrast, adding to the layering and texture of the interior. Secondly, as a marine product, the interior design elements also have a lot of BYD's marine aesthetic design voice. It is equipped with a suspended 15.6-inch central control screen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, and the functional configuration supports the Internet of Vehicles and 5G networks. It also supports voice recognition control system and L2-level assisted driving, and the sense of technology is quite good.

In terms of power, BYD Seal 550KM standard range rear-wheel drive elite version is equipped with a 204-horsepower rear single motor with a maximum power of 150 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. Matched with a single-speed gearbox for electric vehicles, it can accelerate from 0 to 0-100 seconds in 7.5 seconds. Equipped with BYD's lithium iron phosphate battery, the pure electric range is 550 kilometers. The suspension system uses a front double-wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension. In terms of power performance, the Seal, as a tram, naturally performs very well. Its power performance is very good at the starting stage and during mid-to-late acceleration.
